Ways of Giving

The Wilton Library Association is supported by the Town of Wilton, which provides about three-quarters of the annual budget, covering most of the operating expenses of the Library. Collections, technology, and programs are made possible by our generous donors.

You can help us keep our Library top-notch with a secure-site donation (Visa or Mastercard) using one of the links below, or by printing and mailing a donation form. Please feel free to contact our Development Director, Robin Axness, at 203-762-3950, Ext. 216, or email her at raxness@wiltonlibrary.org if you need assistance or would like more information.

Annual Appeal-Friends Campaign

Your gift to the annual Friends Campaign enables us to continue to provide the programs, services, collections, and technology that make the Wilton Library Association the center for discovery in the heart of our community. Gifts at all levels are most welcome.

Milestone Gifts

Honor someone with a gift to the Wilton Library. Milestone gifts may be made for birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions. Gifts in memory of loved ones are also fitting tributes. Books or other materials (including audiobooks, music CDs, and DVDs) purchased with your gift of $25 or more will be affixed with a bookplate, and the Library will provide acknowledgment both to you and to the honoree or family of the person memorialized. This is a wonderful option for end-of-year teacher gifts and birthday presents for those who “have everything”!

Young Readers

Print and Mail a Donation Form or donate-now-button
Making your child (through age 12) a Young Reader ensures that your donation will be used for Children’s Library books, materials, and programs. New Young Readers receive a book bag, membership card good for extra DVD rental days, and first crack at sign up for many children’s programs.

Gifts of Securities

Gifts of Securities may be handled through your bank or broker or handled by you, directly. Discover more about this form of gift and how to transfer securities.

Special Gift Opportunity-New IRA Rule

A new IRA rule creates a new and exciting opportunity for charitable giving, allowing individuals to make charitable gifts directly from their IRA assets without tax implications, through the Pension Protection Act of 2006.

The Wilton Library Association is a registered 501(c)(3) cultural institution. Gifts are fully tax deductible under Federal tax regulations. The Wilton Library is eligible for corporate matching grants.
