Library Closed for Independence DayWilton Library will be closed on Friday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. We will reopen at 10 am on Saturday, July 5. See you at the fireworks!
Call for Art Entries!Wilton artists are invited to show their paintings, pastels, drawings, or sculptures in Wilton Library's 64th Annual Summer Art Exhibition. Artists may bring one or two entries to the library on Saturday, June 28, and Monday, June 30, from 10 am to 4 pm. The Summer Art Exhibition begins on Tuesday, July 1, with an opening reception on Friday, July 11, from 6-7:30 pm. More information. "Gotcha Reading"Teen Photo Contest For teens entering grades 7-12 and 2008 high school graduates. Looking for 5x7 or 8x10 photos of people reading. Submission accepted June 23 through July 25. Prizes awarded for the most original place found reading, the most humorous and the most artistic. Photos to be displayed in the Library in August. Photos should be dropped at the Circulation Desk if the Teen desk is closed. Students should fill out forms to accompany the photos. Sponsored by the John and Patricia Curran Teen Fund. KIDS PROGRAM!Drop in Crafts Travel the 50 States Monday, July 7, 14, 21 & 28, 10 am to 8 pm Mondays in July and August. Kids of all ages can drop-in on Mondays through Aug. 11 for crafts based on the weekly theme for the summer reading program. Materials supplied by the library. No charge. No registration. Sleepytime Story TimeMonday, July 7, 6-6:30 pm Children can put on their pajamas, grab a blanket, and come to Wilton Library for stories before they head home for bed. For ages 2-6; children under the age of 4 must be accompanied by adults. Additional dates: July 21 and Aug. 4. No registration.
